After a lot of hype on this bottle from whiskey enthusiast, I decided to buy it. Lets go to the veridict:
Color: Natural color, a light gold/yellowish color, light body.
It doesn’t say in the bottle, but it’s a blended malt scotch rather than a blended scotch. It’s unchilled filtered, which brings more integrity to the dram.
On the nose: green apple, lemon and lime as if it’s a frizzling smell. It’s a light aroma that you need to get very close to get it. I got a little of a creamy apple pie, but when i get too close, it’s more of an alcohol sugar rather than fruity.
Palate: The palate doesn’t bring the fruits forward from the nose. It’s more on the spicy notes than fruity. And the spice is not well defined. It’s peppery with the frizz from the nose, a bit lemony but very mildly.
Finish: very short finish. Almost inexistent. A bit sweet but it lacks flavor.
Overall I’m disappointed with it and won’t be buying it again.
Cheers.
