Visual: Golden straw; thin, slick evenly spaced legs.
Nosing: instant coastal brine; scent of the sea carried by the wind. Salted cherry hits the back end of the nose. Sea-drenched wood; seaweed also present.
Tasting: salty and strong; has quite a burn to it. Very oily with long finish. A sweet tang comes second. Salted nuts come to mind with charred jumbo shrimp comes to mind on the back end.
Reduced Nosing: fresh charcoal embers (no smoke) with water; lots of floral notes come through, namely chamomile.
Reduced Tasting: much more sweetness comes through with added water; almost ends up tasting like a sweet English tea. The oak is more prominent as well. Fresh vanilla on the back end as well.
Amazing dram!! Its complex, weird and wonderful.
