Caol Ila 13 Year Discovery (Gordon & Macphail)

Nose: Fruit — orange — and flowers accompany a light and fresh peatiness. Some chalk and honey. In the mouth whisky is light-bodied but strongly flavored with meaty , but not heavy, peat dominating. The orange and bitter floral greens emerge when the spirit is held in the mouth. Fairy complex and the finish is very long. Water doesn’t change things much, but stretches this fine dram a little further.
