Nice long legs. Nose leads with hay and apple. Palate is quite spicy, hot pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, and allspice. Peanuts are present at the end as well, thank you Jim Beam. I've been missing this. There's also just a hint of sweetness. This seems younger than 7 yrs. The finish, although peanuty, is bitter. Adding ice improved the whiskey overall. The hay came forward up front and the bitterness on the finish faded. An upgrade over recent Bookers I've had but still well behind what Beam offered in the last decade.
