Caveat lector: I'm a Springbank whore.
It's been over two years since I last tasted this whisky. Consistent with previous note. So much going on: dried figs, peanut brittle, bacon jam, speck, caramel, warm baguette, orange oil, dark honey, sorghum syrup, distant campfire. Oily, viscous mouthfeel. Requisite dash of white pepper. Long finish, with the addition of subtle lingering cherry.
It doesn't get much better.
