Review #343
Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes.
Color: Medium amber.
Nose: Peanut shells and caramel.
Palate: Cinnamon, clove, baking spice.
Finish: along length with medium heat. The cinnamon and clove notes linger.
Splash: No new flavors are revealed.
Overall: 7/10 - This is the classic Larceny BP profile with no real surprises. For the price, there are more interesting expressions out there.

unlike the ECBP, the C924 (in the larceny expression) sounds a lot better judging by the “expert notes” here. also, i’m intrigued by the C925 given that it supposedly has a cherry cola note in the palate. anyway! i came here to check this out, as i stumbled upon a C923 in a country store for 72 bucks. wish it’d have been a craig, but, still…pretty cool! btw- they also had a stagg 22A for 94 dollars sitting in a case beside some 20 & 12yr pappy, RHF, & GTS. def a moment that made doing some bourbon hunting here & there seem not so silly 😙))
