I didn’t love this at first, and halfway through the bottle, I still don’t. I’m not sure that it is getting better.
It’s way too hot for 46 ABV, barely reminds me of any other Redbreast that I’ve tried, and it’s just not really that enjoyable.
I get sherry, sulfur, and faint berries on the nose.
The palate is really hard to decipher. It’s a little viscous and a little sweet with some berries.
Finish last a long time, but that’s not necessarily a good thing. It’s got an artificial sweetness, some spices and tingling on the side of the tongue, and I think the burn in my gut lasts longer than the actual finish.
