This is an odd one. On the nose, vanilla and oak, a little hot but mostly pleasant. Taste carries some of the same up front, but has a pronounced medicinal note that throws this off and makes it hard to drink on its own. I do think this would work well in mixed drinks with other strong flavours or a lot of sweetness, as it provides a stronger dose of the classic rye and oak notes... But alone, I wouldn't drink it again.
