Visual: Orange Amber: thin, very slow, unevenly-spaced legs. Nosing: Deep oak, juicy vanilla and stone fruit. Sweet, Saigon cinnamon also comes through. Aromas of cherry pie filling hit the back of the nostrils. Tasting: Ridiculously smooth. Lots of sweetness comes through. Very oaky with lots of vanilla and caramel. Quite oily with a long finish. Toffee and cherry on the back end. Reduced Nosing: with water added, more fruity aromas comes through. Cherry candy, red bum and apricot are VERY evident here. Oak and Vanilla lessen. Some butterscotch. Reduced Tasting: sweet butterscotch. Zero harshness with water added. It does lose a bit of complexity however. Very surprised! This whisky punches well above its price point!
