Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA

Nose: Soft and honeyed, with gentle oak and subtle herbal notes in the background. Fresh pastries come through as well. There’s a slight touch of acetone, but in a positive way—it works as a pleasant accent rather than a flaw. The nose is nicely layered, and tilting the glass brings out noticeably heavier, richer aromas.
Palate: Surprisingly low in sweetness. Fresh herbal and green vegetal notes take center stage, giving it a clean, lively profile.
Finish: Banana appears on the finish, along with sweet aromas that contrast with the rather dry palate. At first it seems like the finish is about to disappear, but it ends up lingering for quite a long time. That said, the lingering aftertaste becomes less interesting, reminding me of a standard Jack Daniel's.
To my palate, the combination of charcoal filtration and a well-selected cask really elevates this release. It makes the whiskey more polished and balanced while also giving it a finer, brighter character.
Empty glass: Chocolate and dusty oak notes.
