Appearance- dark amber, long legs. Nose- fig newton, banana, tobacco. Palate- Wow! Starts sweet/spicy, banana spice cake. with a vanilla glaze. Fair amounts of a sweet tobacco, walnuts, a bit of a juicy fruit note in the mid. Finish is a sticky dryness that traps the elegant oaky notes of tobacco and leather. It also stays rather sweet. Overall- pleasantly surprised. This is top notch stuff. Full flavor. If you like top line Old Forester stuff or Weller stuff. I feel this fits right in that alley. This was unmarked pricewise when I purchased it @$50 I thought it would disappoint. Not the case. Nice ride, good bourbon! Will buy again!
