If there is one time you need to add water or ice, this is IT! Without dilution, it's just pure fire. With water or ice, it's calmer. Nose is definately peat, lemons and smoke. But the taste isn't as complex as some of its Scottish Islay counterparts. I think Bangalore, India just doesn't have the climate to support the complexity that's needed for peat. I've had Amruts before, and loved them...This one had the peat smoke but not the layers of complexity. It's a good whiskey, just not worth seeking it out or paying more than a much better Laphroaig 10 or Ardbeg 10

Also---I forgot---I got Greedy Angels from WhiskeyShop in San Fran. They have an extensive collection. Amrut Greedy Angels is a rare bird...10 years old (which is a rarity for the Bangalore climate). I noticed it was $900 on Master of Malt, but WhiskeyShop had it for $250. Haven't tried that one yet though
Geology: Amruts are really hard to find---I got two of mine through Caskers and Oak & Barrell in NYC. Their Intermediate Sherry is amazing and worthwhile to seek out
I have yet to find Amrut in any liquor store. Total Wine in DE has an extensive spirits selection but no Amrut
