Aromas of honey, vanilla, almonds, and biscuit. Not overly hot after the first sip, but some sips are hotter than others. The bourbon cask influence is the strongest on the palate. I wouldn't describe this scotch as fruity, as the chart would imply. The heat lingers in the bottom of the throat, with some light tobacco being the prominent lingering flavor. Water slightly intensifies some of the flavors and a little char smoke, but doesn't much dull the heat. Decent scotch but not something I'd need in my home bar.

Bourbon cask influence? I thought this malt was matured in 100% ex-sherry casks?!
