Vanilla, green apples and malted cereal on the nose. The mouthful is exceptionally thin, but tasty nonetheless with light notes of orchard fruit and citrus on the palate. The finish is fruity and terribly short. Overall, a flimsy and one-dimensional whisky for me... the Coors Light of single malts.

Telex : Yes, the Glenlivet 12 was my first (and second) bottle of Scotch. More flavourful, but with a bit more of a burn. The Founder's is smoother, but is so thin that it feels underproofed... there's no workaround for that. For that reason, I'd go with the 12-year if given the choice.
HAH! Coors Light of malts - now that's one of the best descriptions ever used... LOL. Question - did you already try the Glenlivet 12, and was it better than this, or equal?
