This is a nice mixture of alcoholic burn and sweetness. It's very distinct from bourbon and scotch in that it has a touch of sweetness on the front end that metamorphisizes into the a pleasant, not overwhelming alcoholic burn. Think of it like a hybrid of scotch and bourbon, which may have something to do with the fact that it's done up in exbourbon casks that have had plum juice or whatever it is for two years before taking on the good stuff.
