Very new to distiller and Scotch whisky.
From the get go, I have always been a fan of the Peaty and smokier whiskys.
Lagavulin 16 looks dark and sinnister.
Noses like cotton candy and apples. Deceptively sweet.
Mouths as if it were a big old bite of slow cooked BBQ pork belly. Perfect balance of smoke and spice.
Finish leaves you wanting more - Warm, smooth and perfect neat.
The smoke can be overwhelming for someone new to single malts.
Definitely my go to dram!
Greetings from Sydney 👍
