Feb 2017. Call this a solid 3.5. I’m experienced with Caribbean rum but relatively new to Scotch. I found this to be a pleasurable combination. The nose delivers as promised with fruits and toffee. I liked the mouth-coating feel. Seemed to be a good balance of all the flavors. Nothing stood out or overpowered but there is a lot going on (read: complex). Given a choice between the DoubleWood 12 and this I would pick the DoubleWood. But they are both good and I can see myself keeping a bottle of this handy.
