Less smoky and with less depth than the special bottling that I first was introduced to, this whiskey still hits the mark. There are few adjectives that you cannot use to describe it. The nose is peaty and smoky. Palette is everything all at once- sweet (banana bread + honey + vanilla) and smoky (oak? maple? + fire) and oily (kind of carries the full bodied flavor I think) and salty (sea salt). It is the finish that is truly exceptional- a long, lingering smoky feeling tickling over tongue and throat that makes one feel like a dragon. All in all, a scotch worth drinking.
