Finally got around to opening this. Glad they're still producing it on the regular.
Initial Tasting:
Nose smelled of nothing. Not quite sure if thats a commonality of 50%+ ABV bourbons, or if its just me. Tasted quite light in the front, but 'dropped to depths quite deep' almost instantly. The wood was quite apparent, and was accompanied by a slightly burnt grain taste. Finished with a controlled low heat.
Secondary Tasting:
After letting air out for a bit, it seemed to have opened up more of its flavors. Smelled of that typical sweet corn. Rye is more forward, depth has become a bit mpre shallow. Same finish, with a minute JB peanut in the back.
