Finally got around to opening this. Glad they're still producing it on the regular. Initial Tasting: Nose smelled of nothing. Not quite sure if thats a commonality of 50%+ ABV bourbons, or if its just me. Tasted quite light in the front, but 'dropped to depths quite deep' almost instantly. The wood was quite apparent, and was accompanied by a slightly burnt grain taste. Finished with a controlled low heat. Secondary Tasting: After letting air out for a bit, it seemed to have opened up more of its flavors. Smelled of that typical sweet corn. Rye is more forward, depth has become a bit mpre shallow. Same finish, with a minute JB peanut in the back.

Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 29, 2017 (edited October 2, 2017)After trying Jim Beam Bonded, BIB Bourbons seemed to be my kinda thing. Tried this on a Friday splurge. Color: Amber & Maple Syrup Aroma: Initially nothing, then that typical sweet bourbon smell. Taste: Slight rye forward(not sure if there actually was any), corn syrup, hit herbal, slow build up to a mild spice finish. Almost no harsh kick. -
