Peat, leather, vanilla and fairly medicinal on the nose. Some orchard fruit, salt-sprinkled caramel, and hint of lemons on the palate. Long oaky finish, but slightly bitter aftertaste. Overall, a decent dram considering its young age (6 years), but still pretty rough around the edges.

@ Joe : Yup. Nov 13th 2014 whisky tasting downtown that also featured the Jura 16, Aberfeldy 21 and (drum rolls) the Springbank 18. Almost forgot I had rated and took down tasting notes for this whisky.
