Sampled in a glencairn and allowed to breathe for about 10 min, both with and without water.
Faint peat on the nose. Palate has an indistinct muddled sweetness and a vague notion that a portion of the liquid spent time in wood, but dominated by grain alcohol burn. No discernible finish aside from booze. Rough and hot, and immediately gave me heartburn.
Might be good in a cocktail, but I can get a bottle of Lagavoulin or Talisker for $15 more than Black Label, so I'll stick with them.
