I like this stuff a lot. And I'm glad I do, needed a good whisky after todays medical torture. (Granted, the fear was worse than the actual procedure^^).
On the nose I get oranges, honey, butter and some slight herbal notes.
Taste is just amazing for the pricepoint. A dose of malt on the front, followed by honey, bitter herbes, some pepper, mint and freshly toasted full grain toast.
Aftertaste turns into dark chocolate and mint. Like after eight but a hell of a lot less sweet.
I like that I can get this at the "local" super market for 32 bucks. They do have a decent selection but are usually expensive as hell (Lagavulin 16 is usually around 50, they want over 70 for it).
I can get a bottle of this online for 23 bucks, but after shipping I'm still at around 30, so that's the price I'm going with. If someone told me this is a 60€+ bottle, I'd buy it. It's good, it's friendly, not boring at all. Great everyday blend. It's a beloved bang for the buck whisky for a reason.
