First time trying an islay single malt. Very good. Smooth, smoky, tastes and smells like fire burning on wood. I'm used to vanilla/caramel/toffee/butterscotch/fruits notes, so smoky tastes and noses take time to get used to and also require balance between what i'm used to to keep taste buds open to a wide range of tastes.
