Chairman's Reserve The Forgotten Casks Rum
Aged Rum — Saint Lucia

We continues our Rum and Music evening with this gem. (Song at the Moment: Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird....still the best damn rock solo ever).
This juice has high ratings...and I can see why. On the nose we get very strong caramel, slight vanilla, something that reminds me more of fresh ripe plums than it does of raisins, and a light smell of bourbon.
The taste is moderatly sweet, honey, plums, oak, cigars, cherry pipe tobacco, and almost peaty and smoky in flavor (though very faint, probably the barrel). It has a medium afterthaste of honey tobacco. This might be a strong contender for best Rum I had so far, definatly an alternative to the Botucal, and not that much more expensive. 9/10, will buy a bottle.

Thanks! You won't regret buying this one ;) Got a note heavy december coming up...bought myself a BYO advent calendar from master of malt, filled with whisky, rum, gin and calvados. Made sure every single one was on Distiler, so 24 days of advent, 24 notes (because I'm enjoying writing notes...it means I get to taste stuff^^)
Dude, you have such A+ notes! Added this to my wishlist based on what you've said. Keep them coming!
