Nose: A sweet red wine note and cooked dark fruits with cinnamon. All in all the nose is very reminiscent of a good port wine. Taste: sweet and fruity arrival. Cinnamon, grapes, caramel and toffee with dark brown sugar hanging over everything. A drop of water reduces the sugar and brings the oak up front. Finish: surprising long dry finish with citrus and a pleasant oak. All in all a great bargain for a sipping rum with a distinct fruity wine note. Will buy it again despite being a little bit to much on the sweet side for me.
