Dry sweet smoke and menthol — surprisingly smoky in fact. It’s a little sharp and thin on first sip, but elements of lemon emerge before the smoke returns to underscore the long finish. Intriguing, but I’m not sure it has much to show for its 18 years. A touch of sherry influence might have added the complexity to make this really sing.

Well I'm glad I didn't buy this bottle when I had the chance, I may just use that money, I would have spent, and buy another of the HP 18yo.
I hope this doesn’t replace the 18. It’s not even close in my opinion. It’s too strong and acrid and not nearly as complex or delicious.
@PBMichiganWolverine It’s a limited edition matured in ex-bourbon casks for 18 years. Fairly priced as these things go and probably collectible, but I was disappointed not to be wowed.
This is a replacement for the 18?!!?
