Better than captain, and cheaper where I am. Of course it's spiced vs aged, but Cruzan doesn't have the awful alcohol punch. Plenty smooth for sipping, and the price is more than right. $10.50 here. Lighter than other rums I've tried, not as heavy in molasses flavour, and some nice simple barrel notes left me wondering if I was smelling an Irish whiskey once the glass was empty.
