Ardbeg Uigeadail
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland

A damn near perfect Islay scotch, and my first drink of 2018!
The smoke, bourbon notes and sherry work together perfectly. Now if only I could afford to make it my consistent sipper...
Update 3/11/18: I just paired this with a steak and there are hardly words to adequately capture the euphoria. Just amazing.

Yes, Uigeadail has a certain something. They got the balance between bourbon and sherry maturation just right. I prefer it to the resinous tang of Corryvrecken.
This is my favorite Ardbeg (if anyone really cares). The sweetness and the smoke work wonderfully.
Dollar for dollar, one of the best buys
It’s been awhile since I’ve had the Uggy. I have a fresh bottle of CorryV so I’d like to go back and see how they stack up, head to head.
Although I hear The Corryvreckan gives it a run for its money.
Agree completely. It’s very special.
