I know that people are sick of hearing this, but today’s Macallan barely resembles what it used to be. Make no mistake, what it used to be was simply fabulous. It seems to me that Edrington is trading on a name and reputation rather than on the quality of the spirit they are currently bottling... and with the money they are making why would they care. I find it very difficult to spend my money on this Malt.
