A nice NAS from Talisker. Typical 45.8% ABV. Nice dark amber color from the heavily charred casks being used (I think it's natural color, but not sure). Smoky and sweet on the nose with vanilla and oak spices and the unmistakable Talisker briny but also peppery maritime sea air. I get a taste of an overdone/burnt BBQ chicken. The palate has more of a charred character than smoky, but smoky nevertheless. The signature Talisker peppery spice makes itself known right away. The BBQ comes in again. The finish is spicy/peppery and quite dry with decent length. Not as well rounded as the 10 YO but still very good, especially if you enjoy the huge Talisker punch to the face. 4.25

Don’t worry @LeeEvolved, I live in a good neighborhood and also UPS doesn’t usually come until after 5 and I’ll be home.
I don’t believe you. Also, it looks like you have a package coming today. Please don’t leave that one sitting on your porch for long- it’s so big and just asking to be swiped.
Impossible to catch you at this point. And no I was actually trying to help, this time
I wouldn’t have to worry about this if you weren’t trying to catch me, GP. Or is this another episode of “Pick Me Up At The Airport, Bitch?” I can’t tell anymore.
@LeeEvolved you can still pull them if you do searches for individual bottles. Longer and more tedious but it’s a workaround
@Soba45 - I have 360 reviews logged in over on Barreled, some which were very short and mostly how I felt while sipping on said dram. I’ve only been drinking scotch regularly since Dec 2015, so I’ve been powering through just like you, I believe. Cheers to that level of dedication.
Ah yeah my reviews are generally pretty short so easier to manage in a spreadsheet column. I wish I'd tracked the date and cost now as well. I still have nearly 100 reviews to add to Distiller once they open up the beta function for allowing you to add your own reviews. I'm not that far off 400 ratings/reviews on my sheet. Slightly scary given I only started drinking spirits a few years ago!
@Soba45 - I have a google spreadsheet as well, but I only record scores on it- no full reviews. I input little blurbs and award a final bottle score for every bottle I’ve finished. It’s ridiculous. The scary part is that I also record prices I paid. I’m approaching $30k (not factoring in taxes or shipping costs, either). 😮
@LeeE. I have all my reviews on a Google drive spreadsheet. If distiller goes to pot i still have everything :-)
When I try to pull up my old Barreled reviews it crashes the app- that’s how many I have over there. I hate that I spent so much time over there and can’t get them back now.
Nailed it.
