Bit of a letdown, given the price point. Very drinkable, with toffee and vanilla. But better options are available at lower cost.

My first bottle was the best bourbon I had ever had to that point. My second bottle was just okay. You could tell they were related, but the second bottle was much thinner on the palate. The joys and pitfalls of Single Barrels.
You may have misinterpreted my comment. I'm happy to spend more on whiskey (and have), and have found some north of $100 that I think are worth it. In Blanton's particular case, I just didn't think my experience was commensurate with the cost. Especially given that some of the very best bourbon (or ANY type of whiskey) I've ever tasted can be found under $50.
if $60 is too rich for your blood, you may want to find a cheaper hobby, or a better pallette..
