Caught a whiff of ham my first time nosing it but could never again get it. The peat is really strong; to the point it almost felt like I was drinking petroleum straight up. My palate is not as developed as others' which might be why I couldn't taste anything else but it wasn't an unpleasant taste. Just different since it was my first peated malt.
