GREAT whisky, but I don't think anyone would 5 star this on a blind taste. There's true craftsmanship on the blend, as all of the notes work in harmony, but I think they sacrificed texture for the sake of flavour. There's no body - it's incredibly fragile, and while the finish lingers, it also lacks depth. Still fantastic even though the price is fantastical.
Touch of tropics on the nose, with a predominance of ginger and pear. Palate has hints of smoke and subtle spice, with a pleasant amount of heat on the tongue.

@PBMichiganWolverine - especially since you can probably bet the minuscule amount of Brora used didn’t alter the flavor profile one bit. It is rather reckless of them.
@LeeEvolved oh I totally agree it makes sense business wise. You’ll get idiots like us buying it. I just think it’s wrong from a purist perspective.
@PBMichiganWolverine - it’s smart to use it sparingly- especially when you know you can double the price of the already overpriced Blue Label. I’m betting there’s less than 5% Brora in there.
@PBMichiganWolverine it's a little irresponsible, I agree.
@Joe_C. Also , and just my personal opinion, I don’t think a Brora at this point of scarcity should be used in a blend
