I had a sample of this last night, while waiting at the Denver airport during a 4 hour flight delay. Sample courtesy of @Generously_Paul. I actually bought the sample with me to Denver, hoping to have it while working in the hotel room...but am instead glad to have as solace during a ridiculously long flight delay. This really reminded me of the Macallan Ckassic Cut. Probably in every sense except the price. At $20-30 less, this is a better VFM. Classic sherry cask profile—-hazelnuts, creamy vanilla. Deeply rich and flavorsome. Thanks Paul for the sample—-came in immensely useful considering the circumstance

Looks like only 1000 bottles of that new Tamdhu. I’m guessing precious few will make it to the US. Not sure I want to pay international shipping for a money grab bottle.
@Generously_Paul. Better than me. I’m going on 1 hour of sleep after 15 hour days in Denver...and now taking two kids to a “color run” where they run and throw powder washable color. Sounds like I’ll need a dram or two beforehand. Preferably cask strength
@LeeEvolved yeah. But I’d never state it in writing...that’s a trail that can’t well fiscally 😊
First I’ve heard of this new Tamdhu. Will have to investigate when I get home from this birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese that appears to have 3 pizzas for 20 people
We’ve heard this same song and dance before, though. Something will come up and you’ll be back to paying that Home Tax willingly and with a big, ole grin on your face. Lol
@LeeEvolved nothing. $5 Red wine in cardboard boxes. Broke for a while. Like an year to two. ☹️
I’m sure @Generously_Paul is already all over it. What’s currently on your radar? I know there’s something. That Laga 37 or HP 40? That would be epic.
@LeeEvolved. Tamdhu has that new Dalbealie coming out which is supposed to be really good. Maybe you can convince @Generously_Paul to get it, as a loyal member of its fan club 😊
I wanna say it was the same way with the Tamdhu 10. It was on par with the Macallan 12 sherry cask, but the Tamdhu was $80, while the Mac runs $65. Tamdhu is really good stuff, they are just a little to high in price for a good VFM ratio.
@LeeEvolved I stand corrected —you’re right. Under “all countries” it’s $20-30 less. Under USA, it’s anywhere from $5-10 more.
@LeeEvolved maybe I mistyped in wine-searcher—-could’ve sworn it came up as $70.
Great review, Pranay. I don’t think this one is $20-30 less than the Classic Cut, though. I think the Tamdhu is $10 more. I can get CC for $85 and I think this one was right at $90-95. I’m looking forward to trying this one beside the second batch strength, and now that you’ve mentioned it, I may throw in Macallan into the ring for a battle royale.
Glad I could help you through your travel woes
