Dark, verging on burnt caramel, slight vanilla, rich lingering oak and a warm floral spice burn. It benefits from a little water. Like Maker's 46 is to Maker's Mark this is more robust, less sweet than Weller Special Reserve. More caramelization/char. Also similar, more robust than Blanton's. Dark and heavy for my taste but still an excellent deal at $46 in Ontario, if your lucky enough to find a bottle.

@DavidGrisebach. I think it’s the scarcity maybe? In NJ, we have lower taxes and can import pretty much from anywhere, but the demand / supply might be off
Ya apparently they’re supposed to be kind of similar. I’d be surprised if it was that expensive down there cause we’ve got import tax and high provincial taxes on alcohol. Maybe in some areas.
@DavidGrisebach I think this is over $100 in US. It’s considered a Pappy replacement I guess.
