Macallan 12 Year Sherry Oak Cask
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland

Ordered with a steak and baked potato on a drizzly Sunday afternoon.
A little perfumey, nut buttery on the nose. Oaky, warm, soft sweetness, with a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg and a perfumey, almost almond mouthwash-y note. It drops off into a plain, neutral sweet spirit and oak aftertaste with a little more burn and the spice struggling to hold on for very long.
A clean, easy to sip on Scotch. A good introduction to Speyside, but not much besides that for me.
