lighter nose than the 1783. Stronger vanilla notes. very nice flavor. spoke with Jodi Filatreau, artisan distiller. He makes 1 barrel per day here, playing with mash bills. they use same yeast for all their products. had a fire years ago and thought they lost it in the fire,but the cooler preserved it.
very smooth flavor in the elijiah Craig small batch.
water adds burn, prefer neat.
