Taste: Neat in Glen Cairn. This is Kenwood Liquors Single Barrel Pick.
First......if you don't handle it with care, let it open up after you pour it out, and add a bit of water as you go you will simply get lit up. It is a bit higher on the octane for sure. Pleasantly so!
Visual: medium to darker amber in color. clings to glass and is leggy like a fine cognac.
Nose: Excellent, best thing among many good things about this bourbon. First whiff gave me vanilla and carmel opening to cherries.
Palate: First a bit of oak mixed with vanilla. Evolves to orange peel and a bit of cinnamon type spice turning sweet butterscotch
Finish: Medium to long. Burn builds but pleasantly warming. Gets sweeter with more prominent orange and caramel notes.
Will be a great winter night sipper.
