Sitting down for a late lunch and this is the only scotch they have (if you don’t count Dewar’s white label).
This is still an incredibly smooth sipper with enough flavor to make you sit up and take notice. Maybe I’ll stop and snag a bottle of this and Double Black to put back behind the bar.
It’s still just 3 stars, but you could do a lot worse when it comes to blends. Cheers. Where’s my steak?!

@Rick_M yeah...but it applies to @LeeEvolved too 😊
Sorry, that last message was intended for @PBMichiganWolverine. :)
@LeeEvolved - you sound like my wife. Picky as hell when it comes to food, but never saw a drink she didn’t like. :)
Don’t forget JW Black is aged 12 years and the hint of smoke comes from the Caol Ila piece.
@Rick_M. I don’t know. If I can’t find a suitable pour, I’ll switch allegiances and go Malbec or Pinot Noir
@PBMichiganWolverine - I figured I better grab a nice restaurant meal before Hurricane Florence rolls this way and knocks down trees and kills the power for who knows how long. I also hit up the liquor store and found 4 bottles of Jim Beam Repeal Bourbon for $14 a bottle. That should get me through this.
@LeeEvolved Always there when you need it. Steady, reliable and gets the job done; a workhorse.
@LeeEvolved - That’s my restaurant drink of choice when the whisky selection is slim.
@LeeEvolved envious of that steak and JW lunch. Mine was no where as good...Subway and water... Nice review as usual.
