Light peat on the nose. Smooth and sweet at first, the peat and smoke in the middle, and finishes with brine and a salty aftertaste. Body is quite thin but the taste packs a punch, good for those who don’t like the peaty normally. Really nice, extremely expensive.

@SolanaRoots funny...I save all my unfinished ones for Thanksgiving, and donate them to shelters with a few turkeys
@PBMichiganWolverine Ha, I’d be the same...takes me 7-8 months to polish a bottle. Usually end up donating to neighborhood gatherings at the halfway point
@SolanaRoots i actually need to unload...I can’t finish even in 5 life times.
@worldwhiskies95 no, it was the Hibiki 21. That was many years ago ( 2010).
@PBMichiganWolverine This is mostly just sold in Nikka distilleries. Where did u see that the Hibiki 30 was once $250?
@PBMichiganWolverine Wow, nice. Once again your bottle collection proves to be the envy of many a whisky drinker :)
@SolanaRoots I have not, but I do have an unopened bottle I got from Hong Kong a few years back.
@PBMichiganWolverine Well, I’ve been itching to get over there to hit the slopes since the snowfall is enormous. Looks like I have another reason to make it happen. Have you tried this one ever?
@SolanaRoots now it probably is. Probably only available in Japan too, I’m guessing
Great review...this one is high on my list of bottles to acquire. Guessing it’s a really difficult find
