Nose is deep dark brown sugar and raisins. Palate, very complex. Smooth for the ABV. Dark sweet plums, no prunes I think and then the raisins. Pleasant spice through the sinuses. Thick and oily. I’m not a sherry bomb guy at all but this is perfect after a big meal. Very enjoyable change of pace from the savory maritime scotches I normally reach for.

@m_scho yes can’t compare as this was my first. Loved it and the abv. I hear the 16 year is good too so maybe start there?
@deuce26 I’ve been wanting to try this one for awhile now but keep hearing how the recent batches aren’t great for the price. I see mostly batch 62 in stores here in NH but I did see a 61 the other day.
