Strawberry nose- very surprising but accurate. Peat and brine nose. Bitter dark chocolate taste, with some peat and salt. Very long dark chocolate and salt finish, quite an unusual expression of Highland Park. I prefer the more typical character of honey and heather from Highland Park 12, but this is an interesting and curious whiskey. Quite tannic.
