Nose: Lots of brown sugar, vanilla and honey. Light caramel, apricot and bubble gum. No wood or oak notes.
Body: Overall light bodied but nice syrupy texture. Nicely balanced with complexity in the sweet notes. Lacks complexity outside the sweetness. Very smooth, no bite.
Taste: Predominately vanilla and honey, with some toffee notes. Finally extract some of the faint wood notes upfront, can't determine what type of wood but not oaky. The bubblegum on the nose dissapears until the aftertaste.
Overall: A very nice "patio rum". Great to enjoy neat on a warm tropical day. It is definitely on the lighter/sweeter side, but has some good flavours. Website states it is aged 12+ years but really lacks the maturity of an aged rum. Nonetheless very enjoyable.
