3cL Sample from Fine Drams
Nose: Caramel delights; rich, but still smooth
Palate: Wow. Cedar, heat, sherry, raisin, mild iodine
Finish: VERY Long, but surprisingly muted. Woody and mild smoke.
Water brings out the cream.
I'm getting much less of the vanilla notes I was expecting until that finish.
A nice sweet dram, but may be a bit too rich for Scotchtoberfest.

@noksagt great tradition and name for it.
I have the good fortune to have many friends who share an interest in Scotch. Once a year in October, we get together to sample a few dozen different single malts. It is a good tradition. We shamelessly lifted the name from The Simpsons, though I've seen other parties with your same name.
Nice review. But I'm also intrigued to learn more about scotchtoberfest. I know of the Simpsons reference but is this a real thing now?
