This guy found it's way back home from Japan by way of a fellow bourbon brother, fortunate for me!
NOSE: Heavy oak and vanilla extract dominate the nose upfront with a subtle baking spice trying to peak through.
TASTE: Flat Cola with a spicy honey lead the charge with a hint of orange zest and caramel chews laying in the background.
FINISH: Very bold up front with flavor and light burn the sustains through the sip, fades quickly leaving you wanting another.
BODY: Light and clean, slightest oil that is gone in a flash, well balanced.
OVERALL: Loved it, even without it being cask strength it still packs a punch with full flavor. Blantons does it again.
As always keep drinking my friends, Skol!

Great review, thanks! How much does a bottle of one of these go for?
@PBMichiganWolverine I'd love to try it blind vs Stagg Sr. That's on my Whiskey bucket list for sure.
@dubz480 the SFTB is actually BTAC worthy ( jeez...a lot of acronyms). For legal reasons, it’s held back.
@PBMichiganWolverine I personally am not a fan of the Green Label. While this one may have more age to it, I can't imagine it would hold up to the Gold let alone the STFB!
@dubz480 I never knew this one existed as well. Not surprising though since the parent company is Japanese owned. Wonder how it’ll compare against the Gold and SFTB
Interesting, just looked up a couple of details. It's bottled at 80 proof vs the standard 93 proof. Looks like this is a Japan exclusive version of the "green label". As for all the oak, apparently this one is a minimum of 8 yrs old versus the standard 6 yrs that is the minimum for the other Blanton's varieties.
Nice review. Had no idea this existed!
