This one is addictive. I recommend working your way up to this with a couple of small drams of less peaty scotches then make this your 3rd drink. The other night I started with Highland Park 12, then Springbank 10, then the Lagavulin. Truly remarkable. Very full, oily, leather, ripely fruity, salty, smoky, peaty, and complex. The peat and smoke are very high, but the scotch is so well balanced that it is not overly noticeable like with some of the other peat favorites. I get some beach seaweed and some other mystical impressions of the sea. Hard to stop drinking. I found on sale for $79.00. If you see it at that price buy!
