I enjoyed this rye. I never tried the batches that included the 16 yr rye from Barton so can’t compare, but everything I have read says the older recipe was a lot better. That being said, this is a solid offering at a reasonable price (unlike their other whiskeys). If you are deciding between this and Rendezvous Rye (ignoring the $40 price difference) get this one. It has 2-7 year ryes. Rendezvous has 4-7 year ryes. Same mashbills.
