@LeeEvolved An incognito rating with no words certainly doesn’t deserve a like ;) My initial impression often changes so I usually don’t leave a note unless I have a bottle to work on. @Rick_M did coax me into some words in this comment thread
Against my better judgment I gave your “review” a Like, hahaha. I don’t care if you get a tasting at a bar, ignore your date for a few minutes and jot some notes on your phone for a quick take. A quickie is better than nothing (that’s what she said). Cheers.
@SolanaRoots Lag 16 to me is still undefeated IMHO. So delicious.
@Whiskey_Hound Cheers. The harder question is between the Talisker 10 & Laga 16. Probably will take a few more pours of each to settle on a winner :)
@solnaroots I'm in the same camp; I don't like to force a review on a tasting I do at a bar. I think it's always best to wait until you've got a whole bottle. Looking forward to a proper review. Also, I agree with your placement on Laphroaig in comparison to Talisker and Lag
Ok @Rick_M here’s my best take...I thoroughly enjoyed this pour of Laphroaig 10 since it has been a few years since my last. The smokey campfire characteristics instantly entered this bottle in a direct comparison with Talisker 10 and Lagavulin 16. Unfortunately the Laph 10 gets the bronze medal in that trio.
@Rick_M Ha, I’ll leave a rating after a pour but only a note when I have a bottle to get acquainted with over time. You guys have the skills to pull out notes whenever. Not me ;)
@SolanaRoots - It’s not good to hoard your words. Better to spread the wealth. :)
