Very sharp and sweet on the nose. The smell of sea spray and brine is apparent right of the bat with an accompaniment of smoke. Definitely noticeable sweet wood on the nose as well due to the influence of sherry casks. Some sweetness on the palate that is immediately followed by brine and smoke. Generous finish with more of a kick due to the higher alcohol content. More complex than the 10 with slightly sweeter notes but the classic Ardbeg flavors are still very much present.
